So my signifigant other and me, have been pondering over names just wishful thinking. What do you think about Alexis for a girl, and Miles for a boy? We're kinda set on them, but I'd just like to hear what other people think.

That is a pretty name. The question is, maybe as a nickname she'd be called "Alex" which isn't necessarily bad, but I'm just examining it from other angles. :-P

They strike me a bit as "names people chose because they want a classy English name" (not, I might add, that I think they *are* classy English names). If thats OK by you they are not bad names in and of themselves.

Well its all purely speculation anyway, but I'd love to someday have a kid with her. And she loves the name Alexis, and to be honest, I do to. As for Miles, I think the name itself isn't used very much, but its very strong, and yet, confident name.

I love the name Alexis but I'm biased because that's my sister's name. And Miles isn't my favorite but I don't hate it. :)

Well, the thing is, a lot of couples name their kids after their grandparents, or use a middle name or something, and I think we're attempting to not do that. However, we had talked about using the middle name Brooke, IE: Alexis Brooke ________

Miles was one of my choices, but I was going to go with "Myles" instead. I like Alexis, but I hear it everywhere.
