Went to a baby shower last night for the upcoming birth of a little girl, Annalie Rose.

Heard that another preggers (there are 8 due before February, in my church) has chosen a name for their coming son: Ghileadh.

It's pronounced like the Hebrew town, Gilead. This boy will be little brother to Caius, which is Gaelic.

Is this a real name, or did my friends take a Hebrew word and try to make it Gaelic by adding silent H's (lenition, right?)?

I like Gilead too, but I'm a sucker for Hebrew names, so yeah...=P
I'm not sure whether Ghileadh is an actual name...but I think the h's are too much.

What an ugly name. I highly doubt it is a real name. Wow I'm disgusted. The bothers name Caius is nice though. Because its a REAL gaelic name.

I really don't like Ghileadh. Without the H it not only looks nicer but it seems easier to pronounce.

Annalie is really cute! There's a broadway star named Annaleigh, I think I prefer that spelling.

Well, I definitely prefer Amélie to Annalie, but I have a friend called Anneli, pronounced the same. Not sure of the origins but it's quite pretty.
I like Ana- names.

Caius is also a Roman first name, although it's often spelt as Gaius (Gaius Julius Caesar, anyone?). But yeah...I have to agree with everyone here, Ghileadh is hideous.

I don't like Ghileadh; it looks to me like they tried to Gaelicize it, though I'm no expert. Gilead makes me think of The Handmaid's Tale, which makes me dislike it even more.

My "babbies" (cats) are named Augustus & Livia :D

Their full names are Augustus the Babbinator and Livia the Babbinatrix.

Love Annalie but looks like it says Anna-lie, as in the word lie. Not Lee.

Ghileadh is hideous. It would be acceptable if they spelled it right.
