It's one of my favorites; in my top ten.

It makes me think of NOAA, the government organization that deals with weather, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

Despite the spelling difference, I still think of it as Noah, which I ONLY see as a boy's name.

I like it a lot, but the first Noa(h) I knew was a girl, so that might influence it.

I like it, but that's because I'm Jewish and I know girls named Noa. I wouldn't use it though, because I prefer American names.

I don't like the spelling or the name on a boy.

I always thought of Noa as a girl's name, and Noah as a boy's name.

I second this, but if it's going to be a first name, be prepared to a lot of gender mistaking.

i work in childcare, and in the toddler room is a little girl called Noa. She was dressed in a blue onesie. I kept saying good boy to her, because she looked like a little boy, and her name was very musculine. When I went to change her nappy - suprise! Vagina!

HA HA HA HA HA. Love it.

As far as the name goes, yes, it's lovely, but outside of Hebrew/Jewish culture expect her to be mistaken for a boy.

i really like it and it's on my list. however, i just met an israeli noa, and she complained that people just pronounce it like the boy's name, noah. so if you are going for the subtle pronunciation difference, your kid may not receive it.

I'm not a huge fan. I think the name sounds masculine and Noa looks incomplete to me.
