My brother's cat's nickname is Toby. I dont know the cats full name. I like it :) but I'd use it for a pet.

I'm from alabama and my cousin's husband's name is Toby. And I actually went to school with several Tobys, and I know one guy who went to church with me named TOby. Maybe it's a common name in the South? I like it though :) And I think it ages well-all of the Tobys I know are now in their late 20's early 30, and 1 in his 50s and it seems to fit them pretty well...
