2 names...

I met a guy today named Mike, not short for Michael or anything....but his name is spelled Myk. Anyone else ever seen ths spelling??

And there's a little girl in my son's kindergarten class...her name is spelled "Idealia" but pronounced like "Eye-deal-ee-uh"  I can't help but think of "idealistic" or something. She's a very cute and sweet girl but I can't decide if I like the name or not :)

I think its too much like the word ideal, but I think it is pretty.
I'm a sucker for any 'ilia' names.

Idealia? Ugh, that's awful. And no, I've never seen that spelling. Looks like his parents were lazy, and tried to get away with as few letters as possible :P

I like the sound of Idealia, but the fact that the word 'ideal' is in it so obviously is a bit too much for my taste =)
Myk...I would pronounce it Mik, if I saw it anywhere =P I like Mike better.

Idealia reminds me of my coworker's name: Idali. She's Hispanic, and pronounces it E-doll-e. Her dad made it up.

I'm not a big fan of either names, though.
