My birth name was Maleiah. No one else i know has ever spelled it this way.

I've seen it Malaia, Maleia, Malaya, Malea but whats like the politically correct way to spell it?

I believe you're right, though I think it's Mary in more languages than just Hawaiian.

The only one I've ever known was a Filipina Melia. That may also be correct.

How do you pronounce it?
If Mal-eye-ah = Malaya, Maliah, Malaiah
If Mal-ee-ah = Malia, Maleah

side note: Malia means "love spell, dark spell" in old italian :)

I've known a Meleah, but if I were to use the name, I would spell it Maleah.
