okay, so i have two girls' names picked out that i am completely in love with.
they are: Winifred Happiness and Theodora Sunshine.

yes, i am using hippie middle names for my children. it's important to me. i won't be using them as the first name, as i want my children to have first names that are more mature and respectable by the general public.

now the problem is, i can't think of any boy names that i like, except august/augustine, but i'm not sure about those ones because augustine seems like he might be mistaken for a girl, and i love augustine more than august.
i don't think they have to match my girl names or anything, and if i find a name i love that isn't the same style i'd still use it, but i just thought it'd be helpful to give you some ideas on what kind of names i like. my other favorite girls names are prudence, hazel, camilla, willow, luna, frances, pearl, etc.

so...any suggestions for boys' names that aren't very common or boring, that aren't excessively weird? and if you have any good masculine "hippie" middle names to go with, that'd be nice too. thank you. :)

Well how about using Theodore for a boy instead of Theodora for a girl?

What about Augustus? I love the name Justice for a middle name. Not with Augustus, just in general. :)

I love Winifred. I think Winnie is an adorable nickname for a little girl as well.
I agree with the person above me on River.

Obsidian for a masculine-yet-hippie middle name!

Thank you so for putting the odd ones in the middle.

Winifred, Theodora, and August makes an excellent subling set.

Would you want to do Augusten?

Ah-GUS-ten.

It's the name of the guy who wrote Running W/ Scissors but it's like a male version close to Augustine.

How would you say Augustine? I think most people will know it's masculine, but maybe I'm naive.

Name suggestions (courtesy of Nymbler):
Claude
Sylvester
Philo or Milo
Cornelius
Bernard
Archibald
Forest (also could be used as a middle)
Emmett
Julian
Felix
Rupert
Hugh
Edmund
Alban
Augustus (what a coincidence!)
Dominic
Francis
Virgil
Godfrey
Ambrose
Cassius
Ferdinand
Clifford

As far as hippy middle names go, I'm sure those are relatively easy to find. I did find Sincere listed as a masculine name somewhere recently, but I don't know if that's one you'd want to use!

I once met a boy named Purpose, which I actually liked quite a bit.

Clive
Claude
Darius
Gordon
Doyle
Armand
Chadric
Kiefer
Jerome
Malcolm

And as for middle names:
Purpose
Cirrus
Balsam
Harvest

Hope this helps :)
