Elijah Matthew
William Anthony

Winter (middle name)
Evelyn (middle name)

Does anyone have any idea of some good, non-filler middle names for the girls?
Winter's appeal lies in the book by John Marsden, not the season.

I like Evelyn Laurel. That's really pretty.

Winter Abigail... hmm. Abigail is too popular right now, I think. =-\

oh forgot to add- i really like the sound of winter rose. although rose now-a-days seems to be a filler name, i still think it sounds very pretty with winter.

Even if some people use it as a filler, that doesn't change that it would mean more than that to you. People tell me "Grace" is a filler middle name, but it's mine, and not just because it sounded nice. So I wouldn't worry about it, is my point.

I love all of them except Winter. I've always really disliked that name. Summer and Autumn are bad enough (although Autumn is a guilty pleasure name of mine), but Winter is just...awful. I know I might not be in the majority on that one, but I seriously can't stand it. I know you said it's from a book, not the season, but hardly anyone is going to know that; they'll assume it's the season, and winter doesn't have a very positive connotation for a lot of people.

I also know that most people don't really care how their kids' names all sound together, but I can guarantee that with these four names, Winter is one that's just not like the others. It's not quite as bad as the post the other day about the women named Forever with a daughter named Eternity and a son named...(wait for it)...Chris. Not *quite* as bad, but close.

Elijah Matthew is gorgeous, though, and William Anthony is...I really like it :)

Evelyn Jane
Evelyn Georgia
Evelyn Rachael
Evelyn Danielle
Evelyn Hannah
Evelyn Renee
Evelyn Samantha
Evelyn Bethany
Evelyn Rena
Evelyn Catrina
Evelyn Claire (my best friend plans to use this one, and I think it's gorgeous :))
Evelyn Beatrice
Evelyn Juliet
Evelyn Winter (<<this is MUCH better)

No, I agree with you on Winter. But I'm not a fan of season/place/object names.

Winter Eliza
Winter Feline (pronounced Fay-lene)
Winter Rosanne
Winter Emilia
Winter Alyssa

(I feel that Winter goes well with feminine names, since Winter itself is not all that feminine =))

Evelyn Rachelle
Evelyn Maya
Evelyn Mia
Evelyn Felice
Evelyn Maureen

(I think names with the emphasis on the second syllable sound best with Evelyn...but maybe that's just me! ;))
I like Elijah & Anthony btw =)

i love all the names (expecially Elijah and Evelyn (with the nickname Evie)) except for Winter (though i love Summer, so it's not because i hate season names lol.)

Haha, I LOVE winter (the season). I'd rather be cold and put on more layers than be hot and only be able to take off so many layers.

To be honest, if you're looking for a non-filler name, I would name them after someone if your family -- like, say, your grandmother or something. It would be honoring someone, though not incredibly obvious (or confusing).

It's awful. The name Winter just sounds trashy to me, and while Tarren wouldn't be SO bad combined with a usual name, it just sounds bad with Winter.

i don't have any middle name ideas right now, but i just wanted to say that winter and evelyn would be really cute sister names. they don't match or anything, they just sound so sweet together. :)

William is a wonderful name, with the good nickname Liam if you've any Irish heritage and the nickname Will for an English or just American variation. It's a family name for us and high on our list for another boy. For our first son, we went with another combination of family names: James Daniel.

Evelyn is also nice. (We've an older relative named Evelyn.)
