What names (male and female) do you think go well with Savannah Marie? My sister-in-law is pregnant, and is trying to find names that fit into her style -- which I guess you can say is hip/classy -- yet still go well with her first daughter's name.

These are some names she likes:
Dakota
Lane
Preston
Charlie
Lilian
Morgan
Jade

BTW, Marie isn't just a "filler" name, her daughter was given the mn after her grandmother.
Also, WDYT of the name Savannah in general?

Ok Savannah and Dakota is just wrong. One child with a place name, especialluy a soft sounding name like Savannah is ok but if she starts naming all her kids with place names they are going to look like stamps in a passport.

I think Savannah and Lilian go well together. They both sound soft and feminine.

I think they are mutually exclusive names. And she already picked the right one. Savannah, you can almost forget is a place name. Dakota is so harsh sounding. I think it's the K right there in the middle.

I really like Morgan, but on a boy, and Charles with the nickname Charlie is great, but I dislike the nickname as a given name. Lane is cute, too, and so is Jade, but Dakota is...well, bad. By itself, too, but ESPECIALLY with an older sister witha place name.

I like Charles Morgan and Charles Preston with the nickname Charlie, and Morgan Charles and Morgan Preston.

For girls, I like Jade and Lane as middle names, a lot. Lilian Jade would be cute, I think, but I'm not really a fan of Lily; it seems like such a little kid name. Lily and Savvy sounds cute, though, as sisters. Yeah...Lilian would be cute with Savannah.

Morgan Jade and Morgan Lane sounds nice, too, but I REALLY don't like Morgan as a girl's name; as a boy's name, I think it's wonderful, though.

For whatever reason, Savannah always makes me think of Dakota, Sienna, Montana, Sierra, and other names likely to be found on the personals pinned to an equine supply store.

I like Lane Morgan a lot. But I think Lane as a middle name just ends up sounding like a street. I also very fond of Lilian.

You could always fall back on Anna as a nn for Savannah.

How is a family name a filler name? Filler names are names with no meaning, stuck in there because they fill the middle name slot well. Family names have meaning, so obviously they're not filler names. It's fair enough to not like using family names, but just because they don't have meaning to you, doesn't mean they don't to other people...

Okay, I understand that you're allowed to have your opinion on the definition of what a filler name is, and I'm allowed to disagree with you about it. :P
