Date: 2007-09-02 10:30 pm (UTC)For the boys, I like Marcus, Benjamin, Nathaniel, Edward, Michael, and Jonas the best. I really like Luke Oliver, Luke Thomas, Nathaniel Isaac, Benjamin Isaac, Edward Michael, and Michael Edward for combinations. Marc by itself seems incomplete, but I really like Marcus and Marc could be used as a nickname. If you do use it on it's own, I'd spell it Mark. Marc-with-a-c sees more like a nickname for Marcus, while Mark-with-a-k seems more like the name by itself. Alec is okay, but I always have to stop myself from saying "Alex," and I think there are other people who have the same problem. I don't know if that'd be an issue for you, but if it is, I'd avoid using the name, because a lot of people are going to call him Alex, no matter how many times you correct them. Adam, Robert, Christopher, and Matthew are all okay, but they seem kind of...boring to me, I guess. I like the others a lot more.

Date: 2007-09-04 02:25 pm (UTC)The thing about Evelyn is, in general, I don't really like names that end in "lyn". Also, it changes the "E" at the front to a shorter sound, and I prefer the longer sound.
I'm really liking Naomi more and more these days, and I'm thinking of using it as a first name.
I just really love Pandora. Dunno if I ever really would use it as a name.
The thing is about Marc versus Mark is, I just like how "c"s look better than "k"s.
