what uni-sex names do you not mind... maybe you would not particularly use them, but you don't cringe when you see them being used lol.

for me-- (in parenthesis i put the spellings i would use, or have seen for girls):
Ryan (Rian)
Brice (Bryce)
Casey (Kasey, Kasie)
Jamie
Lee (Leigh)
Avery
Blair
Cameron
Drew
Riley
Hayden
Jayden (Jaiden)
Aiden (Ayden)
Peyton
Jordan
Kerry (Kerrie, Keri)

I tend to like boy names on girls and vice versa (not very popular around here, I know) but I don't actually like a lot of unisex names. If it weren't so popular right now I'd use Ryan. I like Bryce. I don't like Casey. I only like Jamie as a nn for James. I only like Lee as a nn and I don't like Leigh. Avery is eh and I don't like Blair on a boy. Cameron is eh and I like Drew on a boy (unless its Dru and short for something else). Riley is fine by me but its been used so much in my family that I'd never use it. I like Hayden, Peyton, and Aiden..but not Kerry. Jordan is ok.

Names I would use for either sex are:
Joshua
Jane/Jain
James
Most surname names
Willoughby
Beckett

Names I like on both: Avery, Sage, Quinn and Rory.

Pretty much all the traditional ones (Casey, Jamie, Robin, Terry, etc.)

Then some more "modern" ones:

Cameron
Harper
Hunter
Sloane
Drew
Reese

I also like the name Adair for either sex.

the ones that I think are okay are:
Casey/Kasey
Jamie
Leigh
Avery (I lean more towards girls on this one)
Drew
Peyton (girl only)
Kerry (I know far too many female "kerrys" to think of this as masculine, although I do know of a male Cary

Jamie
Careron
Ryan
Riley
Hayden
Peyton
Jordan
Alex
Charlie (nn for Charlotte)
Quinn
Rory
Reese

and yeah id prob use all of them.

I like Addison, Hunter, Hayden, Avery, Riley and Jordan for both genders.

On girls, all of the above plus Bailey, Sage and Reese. For boys I also like Cameron, Aidan, Jaden and Ashley (I'd never use it, but I like it a lot for a boy!)

Looking at your list..

Ryan - I couldn't imagine a girl with this name. I know many boys.
Bryce - Ditto
Casey - I actually only know girls with this name, but i wouldn't mind either way.
Jamie - Have known both
Lee (Leigh) - I know its often Lee for a boy, Leigh for a girl. But i know a male Leigh and my aunts name is Lee. Weird?
Avery - cute name. I'd use it for either
Blair - i only know girls by this, i don't really like it but that is perhaps because my name is Claire, and it's somewhat similar
Cameron - My brothers name! But ive always loved it on a girl. Its a family name though...i laugh to think how much i might be shunned if i used it on a girl.
Drew - Works either way for me
Riley - Ditto, but i know several boys with this name
Hayden - Never thought of this as a girls name before
Jayden (Jaiden) - Cute, wouldn't mind either way
Aiden (Ayden) - i've only known boys by this name
Peyton - i still think of this as a masculine name
Jordan - I've known both, it might have morphed into one of those boys names that only girls have now because its 'trendy'. I still like it.
Kerry (Kerrie, Keri) - To me, a girls name.

----
A few i just thought of:

Brody/Brodie
Taylor/Taylah - the latter spelling makes me sick but i have seen it.
Morgan

----

and a name i LOVE is Marley. A lot of people have told me i can only use this on a girl. But i am still undecided. Lee for short? I like the name Lee/Leigh on a boy.

There aren't too many names that I would genuinely consider using on both a boy and a girl. Quinn I could use on either gender, but I think that's about it.

Looking at your list...

Ryan - boy only
Brice - boy only
Casey - girl only
Jamie - either
Lee/Leigh - Lee for a boy, Leigh for a girl
Avery - either; I'd assume Avery would be a girl, though I think it's a rather masculine name
Blair - girl
Cameron - either, though I prefer it for a boy
Drew - boy, unless it's Dru (short for something like Drusilla, Druella, etc.)
Riley - either, but I prefer it for a girl
Hayden - boy only
Jayden - boy only
Aiden - boy only
Peyton - either, though it sounds really masculine to me
Jordan - either, though I prefer it for a boy
Kerry - this spelling, girl (Carey is the only spelling that I associate with a boy)

Casey and Peyton, although I like them much better on girls :)
Also, Jo(e) :)

I knew a girl, about two years younger than me, so around twelve, thirteen, whose name is Ryan. It seemed to really suit her, but I could see the name on either gender.

Generally, though, I don't really like unisex names as they lead to too much confusion. I used to like Avery on a girl, but then that kind of died out.

Pretty much none, I think most of them are tacky.

Bryce, Casey, Avery, Blair, Drew(I love the name in general, but I think it's even better for a girl), Jordan.

Hm. I really like Stacy on a boy since Roll of Thunder Hear My Cry but I don't like it on a girl at all.

I'm sorry, maybe its cause I'm English, but I can ONLY see Ryan as a male name. Some names I don't mind but Ryan is definatly a male name, and a very nice one at that!
Ditto Jamie, but only as nickname for James or something.
Cameron is about the only one off this list that I would find acceptable on a boy and a girl now! And I still prefer it as a male name.
Oh and possibly Jordan, although I don't like it on a female.
Hayden and Aiden are definately male names. Without question.

I don't like unisex names at all.

i love hayden and peyton on either gender. drew isn't so bad, though i prefer it on a boy.

i only like avery and casey on boys, though i could see them on girls too.

i don't think ryan, jayden, bryce, and aidan are girls' names at all.

likewise, i don't like kerry/carrie or blair on boys.

i'm guilty of liking elliot on either gender, thanks to scrubs, but i wouldn't really call it unisex.

I agree a little with what you're talking about - I know a couple guys with names like Kelly, Ashley and Leslie, and there's just something odd about that. But yet, I think unisex names on girls are cute! Like, I love Stevie for a girl.

I don't know whether to consider that sexist or just preferrance. And I kind of feel bad about it.

Yeah, the people I know aren't weak at all with those names, I just think they sound inappropriate with who they are, which is because I expect feminine qualities with names like those.

From: [identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/___heyvanity/
Well, yes because I've a handful of girls with those names. And, only one male with each name.

I'm also 17, and barbies were my favorite thing in the world, where I got Kelly. Leslie was one of my girl best friends and Ashley, well I know about 15 female Ashley's. It's definitely because of my age and the people I'm around.

I know that's wrong in thinking, but it's not like I treat the person differently because of their name? I just think in my head "That's odd."
