My Fiance has some friends with interesting/unusual names (quite a few are Hebrew names). I thought I would post them and see what you all think:
Girls:
Kania (KAN-yah)
Liron (lee-RUN)
Tamar (tah-MAR)
Marin (mah-RIN)
Nurit (noo-REET)
Tal
Berna (BER-nah)
Gilda (Jzeel-DAH) the Jz sound is my approximation of the french sounding J sound

Guys:
Shayl (sh-AYL)
Vilas (VEE-lohss)

And here are some of my friends with interesting names thrown in for good measure (all girls):

Anaz (Ah-NAHZ)
Tanvi (TUN-vee) the pronunciation is something like that but even I don't say it properly
Raluca (rah-LOO-ka)
