I've been considering the name Jada/Jayda lately. I really like it. I think I prefer it spelled Jayda, but I was just wondering what the general consensus here was.

Even if you don't like the name, if you had to pick a spelling would it be Jada or Jayda?

I would pick Jayda, but I much prefer Jade. I'm not a Jada Pinkett Smith fan, and that's who that name reminds me of. She irritates me. lol

But it's a pretty name!

It's not bad, but I don't like "ae" together in names, except in the case of Mae.

To me, Jada would be pronounced Jah-dah. Even knowing it's pronounced Jay-dah, I have a hard time saying it that way in my head.

Yeah, I have the same problem. I always want to say Jada as Jad-uh, for some reason. I've got the same problem with Juliette spelled Juliet. I always want to say Julie-it.

i've seen it spelled jaida, too.
not a fan of any spellings. i guess if i had to choose, i'd choose...i don't know, i dislike all spellings equally. i'd just go with whatever is most common to try and avoid misspellings.

I don't care for the name, but I prefer Jada. Jayda has that whole "Ayden, Cayden, Jayden, Brayden, whatever" trendy thing going on. Overall, though, I prefer "Jade."
