...Eden for a girl?

Is it pretty?
Is it too trendy?
Would you consider it religious (Garden of Eden)?

I can't decide if I like it or not, but I do think it's pretty.

I really love the name Eden, and I don't consider it religious at all, or too trendy where it's a turn off. Edie (Ee-Dee) works as a good nickname as well.

a friend of mine has a daughter eden that they call edie.

eden does bring religions notions to my head, though.

I like it, but I wouldn't use it.

I think Eden is a lovely name. I get the religious vibe myself, but I don't think it's overtly trendy.

It sounds exotic to me, I don't know why, but it escapes religious connections.
I like it better in italian than in english though. Here it's EH-den (I've met only one so far) not EE-den, which in my mind recalls Enid, so it makes it a little plain.

I don't like it at all, but it could be worse. I always think of it as a religious name, but maybe that's just me.

I like Eden. In Poe's "The Raven" it's spelled "Aidenn".

I like it, but it sounds like a name of a phone sex operator. But I still like it.

I like it, it's pretty, it's trendy. It's always going to be considered to have religious connotations. You sort of can't get away from that. So if you are an atheist/non-Christian--I don't know if this is the name you should use.

I love it. But I don't particularly care for Edie, which she would undoubtedly end up being called. Trendy? I don't know. I don't keep up with those sorts of things. I don't think I've ever met anyone who introduced themselves as Eden, but I knew a few Edies, so maybe there's an Eden in there somewhere.

Really? I know an Eden and would be surprised if she were actually ever called Edie by somebody who knew her.

It would be VERY popular if you lived in south Auckland, New Zealand.
I can't comment on the rest of the world! Though I haven't seen it much on this community, maybe twice?
I think it's quite a pretty name, doesn't have religious conntations for me because there's a mountain where I live called Mt Eden, so I think of the mountain instead :)
I'm a teacher and I've seen the name spelt both Eden and Edin
