Aug. 27th, 2007 05:55 pmI'm going off my bc in about 6 months, and I stumbled upon this group as I was looking for lj pregnancy groups. I can't believe how many names some people have. I already have all of our *kid* names picked out.
1st baby name:
boy - William Victor N... (nn Will, Victor is my dad's name who was killed when I was 19)
girl - Emma Elisabeth N... (Elisabeth is my husband's maternal grandmother who helped raise him)
I'd love to have two boys and one girl, but here are other names I have picked out.
boy- Samuel Robert N... (nn Sam, Robert is my husband's first name, he's a jr but will not all a III in the family!)
girl - Ava - don't have a middle name picked out for this one.
I really just want to have one boy for sure so I can name him after my dad, after that I don't care as long as they are happy healthy babies. I would like to have 3 kids when all is said and done.
So what do you think?

Thank you!

Date: 2007-08-28 02:50 am (UTC)But if you are concerned about popularity, Emma has been ranked as the #2 girls name for the past four or five years, and Ava is ranked at #5 and has been skyrocketing, so next year it will probably be more like #3.

Samual Robert- Very boring.
Ava- Again, another Ava? It's pretty but too bad everybody else thinks so too.

Date: 2007-08-28 04:42 pm (UTC)I always imagine the people who do give their kid's the names that are top 3 in the year they were born didn't research name statistics and would ahve chosen a different name if they'd known.
I'd hate to have a boring name myself, that's all.
My favourites aren't weird or unique.. just not going to be one of many in the school year.

Date: 2007-08-28 01:36 pm (UTC)Samuel Robert is also GORGEOUS and I think Sam & Will are adorable names for boys. Ava is great, too, but like with Emma, I'm not completely sold on it. Your boy names are great, though :)
