Birth announcements
Aug. 24th, 2007 02:03 amI collected some names from local birth announcements. Oh yeah…I should probably mention that I live in Switzerland…so some of these might sound a little weird :)
Alea Svenja Monika - I hate the middle names...Alea sounds pretty
Annika Aiyana - I like Aiyana...but I hate Annika
Flurina Sofia – I feel very indifferent about that one
Gioia Maria – First time I heard the name Gioia (pronounces Joy-uh)...very pretty
Guilia-Angelina – The names go well together, but I’m not a fan of the hyphen
Juliana Linda - Pretty
Ladina Lea – Okay...though I hope the last name doesn’t start with „L“ as well...there’s only that much alliteration a name can take
Lea Mia – I like both names individually, dislike the combo
Linnea – Like it!
Livia Yarra – Like it!
Luana Ilona – Like the names individually, not sure about the combo
Melanie Sarah – Boring, but okay
Mia - Cute
Natalie Mirja – Hm..indifferent
Noelia Estrella – Very pretty...
Robin Sophie Alice Hannah – Way too many names, and they don’t seem to go together very well
Saskia – Hate it!
Tabea Roxana - Nope. Hate it!
Zoé Darina – Not sure about Darina...but i like Zoé
Corsin – One of the few Swiss names on the list, I believe... I like it.
Elias Manuel - I never know whether I like Elias or not
Fadri Raffael - Disike
Joël Reto Michael - Okay
Kasimir Conradin – Huh? No.

Nick Laurin - Indifferent

Date: 2007-08-24 12:19 am (UTC)I really like Noelia Estrella. I like Corsin, and I've never heard it before. I've never heard of Linus either, so but I like Linus Christoph. I like Luc too.
Robin Sophie Alice Hannah is AWFUL!

Date: 2007-08-24 02:53 am (UTC)Juliana is nice, but I don't like it with Linda. It's too many -a ending sounds in one name. Livia is growing on me, but I prefer Olivia. Mia is cute, too, but I don't like it by itself; I think it fits a little kid, but it's too cutsey for an adult. I prefer it as a nickname for Miranda, or Amelia, or even Margaret.
I LOVE Natalie, and Sophie Alice would be nice, but I don't like the rest of that particular combo. And I REALLY like Zoe.
Elias is GORGEOUS. I LOVE that name. I don't like it with Manuel, though. How is Joel pronounced? Is it like Joel, or does the ë make it sound different? Sorry, I am really bad with languages and pronunciations, haha.
I like Lars Michael, but Mikael is atrocious.
Nico Timothy would be better, but I don't like just Tim. And I like Nico better as a nickname for Nic(h)olas. But I do like Nico. Nicolas Andres is great :)
Noah is gorgeous, although I don't like Mael.

Date: 2007-08-24 10:09 am (UTC)Noelia Estrella is kind of pretty...I like Gioia Maria as well. There are a lot of names on that list of girl's names of which I like the first name but not the middle name, or vice versa.
I don't like any of the boy's names, only Elias Manuel :)
