Is Regan pronounced like Ragan, or Reegan?

I remember I heard it sounding like Ragan (don't know how it was spelled) in the original The Exorcist and I thought it was beautiful. Both pronunciations are pretty though.

I like Emery a lot. I had a kid at camp last summer named Emory and I thought it was really unique and pretty. Plus she was a great kid. :)

I also like Amelia a lot. Beautiful! And classic yet fits a baby just as well as an adult.

Pronounced like Ragan. People mention the Exorcist, but I've never seen it, so I think of King Lear rather than possessed girl when I hear the name. I knew a girl in high school named Regan, and I've always loved it.

Oh well I don't think most people associate it with the Exorcist automatically, lol. The only reason I do is because I was like 12 when I saw it and that was the first time I'd heard the name and I was like oh, that's pretty! But it's not strongly associated with the movie, anymore than a kid named Jason would be teased for Friday the 13th. Just was the first place I heard it. I think it's beautiful.
