I like the nickname Andy, but those names sound made up to me.
If you like that nickname but not the traditional Andrew, how about
Anderson* This one is my favorite out of all the "Andy" names. It sounds current, like a surname, but it's gone down in popularity since the 1800s, not up! Anders Andric
Or, how about a name that ends in -and?
Harland Kirkland Noland Normand Orland Ryland* I like this one a lot, too, and the popularity is way down at #899.
It's not made up, I can tell you where it's from, my name (Fonta) is from the same book. Andon and Fonta, google it if you want to. It's from the Urantia Book. (Long story short, it's a philosophical/religious type book... kinda interesting.) Not that you want to know the background, but...
According to it, Andon and Fonta were basically, the first of the monkeys that, so to speak, had a soul. Andon means "the first Fatherlike creature to exhibit human perfection hunger".
I'm a fan of "old fashioned" names, so I'd personally go for Andrew or Anders (probably Anders, it's an old family name), but Andon seems unique without being yoonik.
