My old boss (born in Kerry c.1955) spelled her name Fionnuala. No one had trouble with pronouncing or spelling it, AFAIK, but then we are more used to Irish names in the UK.

(IMO Finola isn't a good Anglicization anyway, the o is wrong. Finula would be closer.)

My fiance and I are also big on Irish/Gaelic/Celtic names =) [Our names picked out are Ciara Avery and Owen Scott)

Moira is a pretty name =) Makes me think of Peter Pan (Wendy Moira Angela Darling)

I like almost all of your boys names.. Colin, Liam and Ronan being my faves =)

It has the nice sound that 'Conan' has, but without reminding me of 'Conan O'Brien' or 'Conan the barbarian' ;P Ronan is really nice =)

Vivian or Vivien - I prefer it Vivian

Aedan - I like it better with an 'Ai' instead of 'Ae', but still nice.
Cillian
Colin
Liam
Lorcan

The other names are nice as well, but most children outside of Ireland/maybe the British Isles would probably be laughed at.

"but most children outside of Ireland/maybe the British Isles would probably be laughed at."

I second this. Naming a child Finola wouldn't be too bad (like Finola Hughes the soap actress) but Fionnghuala is just going to get the kid made fun of her entire life.

I think a good rule of thumb with names is that if you need to give the pronunciation, the child will have to do the same for his/her whole life. No fun.

Other than the few that are tough to pronounce, which you identified yourself, I like these names! Aedan (with a different spelling), Liam (as a nn for William), and Olivia all seem to be very popular right now, so I would personally stray away from those.

I like:
