Husband and I are disagreeing on something so I came here for help!
Here's the problem:
My kids are Tristan and Skylar...we are TTC #3 right now and we are already looking into names. We both like the names Trenton or Trevor (assuming we have another boy) but I dont really want to use those names since we already have a "Tr" name in the house! I think we should pick something totally unique and not have any similiar sounding names in the house. I'm leaning towards names that start with "R" for some reason! What do you all think?

I agree that it'd be strange to have two Tr boys.

I'm not really sure of any good R-names though. I don't have any R boy names on my personal list and none come to mind except Richard & Robert and such and those are no good for a baby.

another tr- would be mildly overwhelming. i completetly agree you that you should go with something unique to the other two. i think r would be nice. and kind of cute, in an odd way. alphabetically it goes RST... :D it would be a very subtle theme. and apparently backwards in order of birth. i'm sorry. i pick up on weird things like this.

i like the names ryan, rowan, and rhett for boys. i can't think of any for girls.

I like Trevor a lot, and I don't think the 'Tr' thing would matter much, they names aren't very similar sounding.

i wouldn't go with Tr for either a boy or a girl...one of my friends names is Jennifer...her brother is Jason and her sister is Jessica (i think but not sure...it's definetly another 'J') and she doesn't like the fact that everyone's name starts with a 'J'

a name with an R would be nice cuz then you'll have R, S, T - youngest to oldest which is cool in itself - of course not many people would look at it that way

i read in some psych book once that if two children have similar names and the other one has a completely different name, he/she will feel left out. it sounds kind of far-fetched to me, but who knows.

i like these R names:

ryan
roan
reagan/regan
reid
reese
rylie
river
roman

Tristen, Slylar & Ryley/Riley. (i think i'd spell it with the y for a girl & the i for a boy) Very cool..they sound great together.
