For most of my life, I've toyed with the idea of changing my middle name. It's my mother's maiden name, and it's a clunker. However, I like my initials and I'd like to keep them. So, if you can think of any middle names that begin with an "A" and go well with "Vanessa," please comment! I don't know if I'll ever actually go through with this, but I'd like to see if anything strikes me.

I like Vanessa Anne, personally, but I'd probably keep the middle name unless you really hate it.

I really like Vanessa Ava, Vanessa Amelie, and Vanessa Adele. I don't really have any suggestions for you, but I do like those if that helps.

Just on a funny story note since we're talking about name changes, my husband's friend changed his name. He was always called by his middle name and he hated his first name anyway. He never met his dad and thus didn't want that last name of his anymore, he wanted his mother, who raised him's, maiden name as his last name. Well, the point of this story, he's kind of a really big HUGE gamer and "geek". He took one of his Dungeons and Dragon's character names and made it his middle name. Yes, his name is now David Migrandasa _________. :D

LOL I love it! When we hang out with our gamer friends we sometimes slip and call each other by our alt names. I have wondered if anyone ever identified with a char so much as to change their legal name-and the answer appears to be yes!

It would probably amuse you more if you knew what he was: a half-orc. :D

My favs on your list are Amelie and Anne. This is a good challenge since Vanessa ends in a short A and so many A names either start or end with that sound. The result being, the names can either sound smooshed together or they could rhyme. I think names that start with another sound and/or end with a different sound will flow best.

Arin (Erin)
Aileen
Autumn
Anais (ah-nah-EES)

Good luck! :)

Amy seemed to be the nicest one that came to my mind. My favourite girls name of all time is Anna, but not with Vanessa. Anne is always nice but so common and a bit boring as a middle name- I can't imagine someone changing their middle name only to make it be Anne. But that's just my opinion lol
