I have MTV in the background and I've just heard Jennifer Love Hewitt saying her name, and I was kinda shocked to learn that Love is not pronounced 'luv', like the noun, but 'low-v' instead.
I used to think it was a tacky, hippie name.. not that I like it more now, but I had to change perspective on that one :P

It is pronounced Love, or at least it was. A lot of celebrities lately are actually changing their pronunciations, which sounds like an asinine thing to do, in my opinion. If it really was low-v, then why didn't she bother correcting anybody during one of the million times they pronounced it wrong? I know I would have.

I find it hilarious that she went with Jennifer as her first name. Back in the days of Kids Inc. she was Love Hewitt and went by Robin, a much better fitting name for her in my opinion.

After the divorce of her parents, Hewitt and her only sibling, Todd Hewitt, were brought up by her mother. Her first name was given to her by her brother, after a girl he was fond of as a youngster, while her middle name, "Love", was given to her by her mother after her best friend in college.

I'm sure the friend-in-college was really Love (luv) and decided to be kr3ative and re-invent herself as Love (low-v). Reminds me of loaves of bread.
