Names you want so desperately to use but don't think you could ever get away with it? Plant names, super off-the-wall names. Anything that you know it wouldn't work (the world would never understand!)

I would die for two girls named Coco and Magnolia. I don't know why. I can't explain it and I know that I'll never be a famous actress or something so I am left with my imagination.

I adore the names Coco and Magnolia! I see no reason why you couldn't use them. :)

When I was younger I wanted to name my daughter Lucky Alexa because I had read a bunch of Jackie Collins books about a heroine named Lucky and I fell in love with the character and the name. Unfortunately, it's an awfully popular moniker for dogs. ;)

I had a friend in high school named Lucky. I don't think it's a weird name or anything.

I think both Coco and Magnolia are gorgeous. I don't think there's anything wrong with them, especially Magnolia.. they aren't that crazy..

I love Andromeda & Aurora but I think they're a bit much. I know Aurora is getting known now, but.. ehh..

WI think maybe we just have to get some pets and use the names on them!

I used to LOVE the name Calia (Cal-ee-ah), but I couldn't have used it because where I live (Florence, Italy) it's an old term for prude. The dictionary also states that it means gold dust, so that was my bonus to stand on!

Now, aside from personal reasons why I wouldn't use it, I feel it would just fit into the Layla, Kayla, Maila, Mailie, Hailie trend somehow.

I think Avery on a girl is adorable, but I have a personal thing against unisex/wrong gender names, so I'd never use it. I just think it sounds pretty.

Finn is totally 'normal' now - it's a super irish name. Although paired with a brother named Huck and a sister named Scout you might be going too far, especially if you have another kid and named it Atticus :)

I totally do not want to encourage you (lol), but I love those names.

My boyfriend's last name is French and starts with an "L". I love love love the name Léonie Olivia. But I mean -- look at what her initials would be. I don't think I would be allowed to get away with that. :/

Coco and Magnolia are both pretty. ^^

I like Rhapsody...and some very out-of-the-ordinary Harry Potter names...and others but that's all I can think of at the moment.

i've recently started to like the name Diggory (nn: Dig). but it is so clearly straight out of harry potter that i could never justify going that far. and i've always loved the name anastasia, but i'm not particularly girly, so i figure my daughter wouldn't be either, and then it seems ridiculously out of place.

CS Lewis used the name Diggory, too. In elementary school I knew a girl named Anastasia but was called Stagie (pronounced Stay-zhee.) I thought that was the epitome of cool!

One of my great grandmother's name was Pearl Snow. I *love* the name, but every time I bring it up with the husband I get vetoed. Perhaps Pearl Rose (after another grandma)?

Best part? Husband's grandmother's name was Pearl as well.

I love the name Arwen. Yes from LOTR. There is no way I could ever use it for my child though. My husband grew up (in NZ) next door to a girl named Alwyn which is close but seems awkward to me.

I really like Promise and November Rain, but I know that my fiancee would make up some joke about going hippy and the names would be off the table. If I do end up having a baby that's due around November I still might suggest it.

I always wanted to name a son Kovu- yes like off the Lion King sequel. But I always loved that name but I really doubt I could get away with it.

My hippie-ish sister named her kids Beckyn Blue-Skies, Camon Rain, and Autumn Flower. Yes, my nephew Camon was born during a thunderstorm. I've always admired her for using names she loved, and in the next breath prayed for the kids to make it through life with limited teasing over their names!

My "weird name" isn't that weird, but I don't want to use it because of how popular and butchered it is.

But I have loved the name Madison since I was a little girl.

Wednesday
Electra (I seriously love this name, but damn, the character is totally nuts :P)

I think Aoife is so pretty, both how it looks and how it sounds, but I would hesitate to give a kid a name that will be such a hassle to spell/pronounce all through life. :(

I have mentioned this before, and it has really been growing on me lately: Galileo for a boy. Leo as a nickname. I would never actually use it as a first name, but I still think it has middle name potential.
