I'm not pregnant or trying, but I like names. I'm not sure that I'd actually use any of these, but they're fun to think about. Opinions/suggestions?

Juniper
Sage
Gaia - I love the way it looks and its meaning, but I'm not sold on its sound.
Genevieve (french pronunciation)
Guinevere
Sparrow
Ivy
Veda
Veronica (nn Vera?)
Lara (pronounced Lair-uh - is this legitimate or is there a better spelling?)
Farrah (is this a "real name," and how is it pronounced?)
Stella
Juliet
Faye
Nora

Thanks!

I kinda like Juniper, don't know about actually using it though. I love, love Sparrow. Lara is correct the way you have it. And as far as I know Farrah's legit, maybe of unknown origin though. And it's pronounced Fair-uh. Oh and I'm fond of Ivy and Veronica, but I wouldn't use Vera as a nn. Probably Ronnie, even though that I'm not fond of.

I knew a girl who was named Farah [which seems to be close enough] and she pronounced it 'FAR-ah'. I assume it's the same.

I love Nora as a name :)

I pronounce Lara as LAR-uh (like far, with an L).
I don't know how you could spell it differently to differentiate between those pronunciations (or if you should bother).
Lena is kind of similar in that it could be pronounced a couple of ways and they all seem best spelled Lena.
Dunno.

I'm Australian, so I have some differnet pronunciations.

My friend Farrah pronounces her name "Fa-rah' - the 'Fa' is the same sound as in 'fat'. Lara is pronounced 'Lah-ra'. I think the 'Fair-uh' pronounciation is really American, and I see it in a lot of different names.

Eg. Aaron - when I've heard Americans say this, it sounds like Erin
Kirsten - In America, this is "Kier-sten" but here it is "Ker-sten"

Anyhow, I think Juniper is beautiful. Possibly as a middle name?
Juliet is wonderful, and Stella ! My favourite, most beloved name. I intend to name my firstborn daughter Stella.

I like Genevieve, Ivy, Stella, Juliet and Nora, although I think people would pronounce Genevieve "Jenny-veeve" if you live in an English speaking country. Nora's also pretty nice, but I prefer it more as a nick-name for Eleanor or Lenora.

Sage, Gaia, Guinevere and Sparrow I'm not a big fan of. I know a really stupid girl name Sage, Gaia reminds me of the online forums, Guinevere sounds very metalic to me and Sparrow reminds me of Jack Sparrow.

I like/love:
