Jul. 31st, 2007 08:38 pmSo, a couple months ago, I posted several names that my husband and I were considering for our baby boy. (That post is here - http://community.livejournal.com/baby_names/1374765.html)
Your opinions helped us narrow it down to 4, and now we are down to 2 favorites (one is his fav, and the other is mine) and have chosen a middle name that complements both of our family histories. So, now I ask...
[Poll #1031306]
(Note, my husband is a photography grad student, so Ansel being the name of a famous photographer isn't a bad thing to us. We aren't naming the kid after the photographer - we just both kind of like the name. It's more of a coincidence that it's a famous photographer.)
Thanks!

Date: 2007-08-01 10:01 am (UTC)Just don't call his sister Greta/Gretchen :P
All jokes aside, I prefer it a lot to Alden, which sounds serious and uptight. And it makes me think of Waldon, which makes me think of a geeky type.
Ansel sounds like a cool name, and being related to your hubby's passion is added value ;)
Please excuse my weirdness today, I'm feeling off.

Date: 2007-08-01 01:45 pm (UTC)Ain-sel sounds way too backwoods southern to me. If we name him that, I hope my husband's Tennessee side of the family doesn't call him Ain-sel. They probably won't - his grandmother might, but the rest are sane. :)
