Some of you might think this is dumb, but I'm seriously changing my name in a few months. :)

I'm keeping the name Amanda as a middle name, because I know immediate family would never be able to stop calling me that. This way I'll have an answer when someone asks me why my boyfriend is calling me Amanda when I say its something different. lol

Is this a dumb idea in your opinion? Amanda as a middle name? I really don't want Amanda as my first name, I've always hated it. I've been planning on changing my name for a few years now, so I didn't just decide on this yesterday. I really want to change my first name to Isis but I'm afraid thats a little out there for someone my age (19...when in 1986 the majority of girls were Britney, Amanda, and Ashley) so I'm afraid I'll get odd looks when people ask me what my name is. Do you know of anything that would go decent with Amanda? Thanks.

Amanda Vanessa? Thats cute and definitely a different middle name for Amanda IMO. Usually the Amanda's I meet are Lynnes, Maries, and Elizabeths. I once met an Amanda Rose, I was really jealous.
