Top 3 and middle names
Jul. 26th, 2007 02:36 pmI've updated my favourite names list since the last time I posted. These are my top three names for each gender, what I'd probably name a kid if I had one now:
BOYS
1. Leander
2. Nathaniel
3. Colin
GIRLS
1. Norah
2. Margaret
3. Camilla
For middle names, I like Norah Josephine, Margaret Theodora, and Camilla Marie-Louise. I want to use Autumn as a middle name, but I'd not sure what it would work best with. I like Genevieve Autumn, but I still haven't decided whether I want to keep Genevieve on my favourites list or not.
As for boys, I like Leander William or Nathaniel William. Other than that, I'm not sure.
Thoughts?

Date: 2007-07-26 09:09 pm (UTC)Nathaniel William is perfect, and it works with Leander, too. And I think (with Leander) the combo of a very common/traditional middle name with a less common/unique first name is really nice and it balances it out.
I really like your middle names for Norah and Margaret, too, but I don't think Marie-Louise flows well with Camilla. What about just Louise?
Camilla Autumn sounds nice, too, but I prefer it with Genevieve. Are you pronouncing Genevieve in the French way, or the Americanized way?

Date: 2007-07-26 10:57 pm (UTC)leander and nathaniel are awesome. norah, margaret, and camilla are beautiful. i especially like camilla, reminds me of mulholland drive, have you seen it? your middle names are great, too. theodora is my newest on my favorites list. i don't know where you could fit autumn into your names, since norah and camilla both end in A sounds they wouldn't really flow with autumn...margaret autumn would be okay, but then you would miss out on theodora. genevieve autumn is nice. anyway, you have excellent taste in names. :)
