[identity profile] requiem-morrow.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] babynames
I've spent the last few weeks playing the alphabet name game with baby name sites. That said, these are names I like, not all are necessarily names I'd give my children. Please be warned, I like surname names and occassionally intergendered names (boy names on girls, girl names on boys). Its a huge list so I'm starting with A and B.

BOYS
GIRLS

Asher, Aiden, Ash, Archer, Alexei, Abraxus
Annagrey, Annabella, Annabelle, Arabella, Alora, Alaura, Azure, Ainsley, Aisling.  Acacia, Asher, Adair, Adresteia, Andromeda, Annora, Anya, Aoife
Bard, Beckett, Boone
Beckett, Bronwen, Bailey, Bella, Brontë

Thoughts?

My mum likes it because it's from the Bible, but she hates Canaan, which is from the Bible too but she says it's a DEVIL'S NAME ZOMG.

I, on the other hand, plan on naming a son Canaan. And perhaps Asher as a middle name for a child.

I visited New Canaan, Connecticut and I bought a shirt that said I HEART CANAAN.

I left it in my hotel. =[

One of my first boys will be named Aleksei (you spelt it Alexei) but I prefer the true Russian spelling!

Other than Aleksei, I like Asher... and for girls, I like Annabelle (AnnaBel) and Bailey.. though I'd see Bailey more on a boy, than a girl.

I LOVE Asher for a boy. It's one of my favorites. However, I really hate the idea of using it on a girl. It's too much of a masculine name to me and I think it sounds ugly for a girl.

I love the name Anya, and I always thought that Anderson would be a cute name for a girl.

I LOVE that show! O_O I have never seen anybody talk about it. I am going on an internal fangirl fritz right now. heh.

The name fit the character, too! She was very believable with the name, role, etc. :)

Beck's a cute nickname, but I love Beckett just on it's own. And yeah, Becca and Becky are possibilities, but it's still decidedly masculine to me.
