I'm from an area of Indiana that is somewhat... lower class. Not the whole area, but there are pockets of people who really love Wal-Mart and REALLY wish Billy Ray Cyrus would make a comeback so they'd have an excuse to break out their fringed, beaded and airbrushed "Achy Breaky Heart" shirt.

Oh, who am I kidding? They don't need an excuse.

Anyway, I was browsing around on MySpace, looking at profiles of people from my hometown, and came across some "perdyful" names they came up with for their kee-ids and grandbabies.

It's not just that area. every time I get my (Southern, mostly conservative) college alumnae magazine I marvel at what these girls are naming their children.

I'm so interested in names I always ask people their kids' names. Of course this backfires on me when they proudly tell me "Neveah. That's Heaven spelled backward!!!!!!11eleventy!!!!"
