what are some decent nicknames for the name "Sorren"? all i can think of is sore, sorrey, orrey, ren, renny, and i hate them all!
i am not planning on calling him by anything other than Sorren, but i know others will so i want to have at least one that wont make me want to gouge my eyes out.

I once read a book where one of the character was named Sorensen and they called him Sorry.

Could you just call him S? I can't think of anything else!

Tell others that his name is Sorren, and that's what you want him called.

People will probably call him Sore. In fact, I'm positive they will. :-\

Just a note that if you hate every nickname for your child's name, maybe you should rethink naming him that? He's going to get called something (probably Sore) at some point down the line and if it makes you wince...

If I were to shorten that name, it would be to Sor...kind of like you would shorten Dominic to Dom or Madeline to Mad. OR like they do in Britian...William to Wills. I don't think it's a bad thing, and really it wouldn't be a CONSTANT thing, you know? It would be like "Sor can you pass the salt?" But people will talk about him using his name, Sorren.

Does it make sense that his name might be shorted but it won't ever be a nickname? If he writes Sorren on his paper, that's what people will call him.
