Middle name for Emma?
Jul. 19th, 2007 02:26 pmWhat would you suggest as a middle name for Emma?
I'm looking for something not too classic, like Emma Violet/Grace (although Emma Josephine would be good) nor too 'country', like Emma Bailey/Paige.
But then again, I'd like to hear all kinds of suggestions, so go ahead as you wish :D
Thank you!

I really like Emma Josephine! Just PLEASE don't use Emma Lee/Leigh. Ugh! I've seen that combo before and it's sooo ugly.

Date: 2007-07-19 01:48 pm (UTC)Emma Grace is nice but I think Grace is pretty common for a middle name now. Paige is simple, sweet and less common.

And I think the name 'Elyse' someone else suggested sounds good too!

Emma Ruby is gorgeous, thank you!
I have Ella Ruby as a combo on my list, but Emma Ruby is possibly even better!
Unfortunately, in italian it would sound like saying "Eh, ma rubi", which means "Oh, so you steal" hahaha XD -thought I'd add a little linguistic peeve :P

Date: 2007-07-19 06:15 pm (UTC)Better yet, pretend I made some stupid comment about how the name is sooooooo popular, despite the fact that since you are interested in baby names, you probably already know that.

Date: 2007-07-20 12:02 pm (UTC)I also know someone else who named her new girl Emma Leigh. I'm not sure how I feel about it. It sounds pretty (I've always liked the way the name Emily sounds), but at the same time...it just doesn't sit right with me.
I would suggest:
(forgive me if there are any repeats)
Emma Jane
Emma Cassidy
Emma Elaine
Emma Eileen
Emma Ayla
Emma Layne
Emma Aurelia
Emma Louise
Emma Lourdes
Emma Sabine
Emma Adrienne
Emma Vivienne
Emma Cecile
