i was supposed to be a hannah, then i was born and they decided on carly.

if i was a boy i'd either be noah or sawyer or maddox, i've been told.

I was almost Jennifer, until my parents realized that was the #1 most popular name that year (1982). Then they consulted a baby book and made it almost all the way through the A's to "Amanda" which was chosen for the meaning (worthy of love). My name ended up being #3 that year.

Dad wanted me to be a Tammy (ugh!)...Mom wanted me to either be Briar Rose or Alma Lynn. I ended up as Tracy Lynn. :)

I really like your name, but neither of those other names are bad. I just think they made the correct choice.

My dad really liked the name Erin Karen (um? hahaha) and if I was a boy, I would have been Scott Timothy. Instead, they went with Lindsay Rebecca. Probably because my mom thought my dad was crazy with the rhyming thing.

I would be Lucas if I was a boy.

They liked Hailey, Melelani, and Kailani. They thought Kailani (nickname: Kai) suited me best and it does!

Then I popped out with a vagina, and they quickly chose Mikaeila Lorena.

For me, Katherine and Ivy were considerations. If I had been a boy, I'd have been Daniel.

I was Kezia for a while.

Well if I had been a boy, I would have been Alexander. Other girls names my parents were considering for me were Celeste, Stephanie, and Emily. I think I came closest to being a Stephanie, and am really glad they named me Alison instead.

My parents didn't have a boys' name picked out for me, but their two girls' names were Kathryn Lee (what they named me, which I love) and Elizabeth Erin (which I also like).

I was gonna be Charlie for a while, and for some unknown reason my Mum wanted to give me the embarrassing middle name of Bubbles. But that never happened thank God.

But both my parents names begin with S. And my brother's name was Steven (but he died). So they called me Stephanie, as a kinda honour thing I think.

If I was a boy, they'd have called me Stephen (spelled differently) or Charles. I don't mind Stephanie so much, but I prefer Steff.

My boyfriends dad wanted to call him Blue haha.

My mom wanted to name me Erica or Kaitlynn and my dad wanted to name me Stacy or Stephanie. I'm glad they chose Kristin instead.

My mother had the name, Jaclyn, picked out since she was 14 or 15 years old. So apparently that was the only girl name she ever considered. Although I do recall her telling me one time she once considered the name, Danielle.

If I had turned out to be a boy, I would have been Nolan.

I was Kelli from day one. My mother refused to compromise, but she did let my Dad choose the middle name, which is Nicole.

BTW, I LOVE the name Shanna. The others are pretty too.

I prefer Megan out of all of those; as it would honour my family/heritage, and fairly uncommon amongst my peers, Meg is a nice nn too.
Either way my middle name [Clair] was set in stone.

If I was a boy I'd have been Richard.

as another Shana Marie, Carissa is the best one.

My mum had a baby name book that had a notes page in the back when she was pregnant with me. She gave it to me when I was pregnant with my son. All these were written in the back, but I don't know how seriously she considered each one.
