How do you pronounce the name Penelope?
In italian it's PE-neh-lo-pE. 'E' being the sound of the last syllable in Hel-en, minus the 'n'.
And what are possible nn's to you, other than Penny?

I'd pronounce it Pe-NEH-lo-pee, but I must say the Italian version sounds better.
Other nicknames...hm...Nellie? Although that one's awful, IMO.
Lo could also be a nn =)

I knew a girl named Penelope and her nickname was Eppie. (I think it came from her not being able to pronounce the whole name when she was little.)

Oh god! I know this incredibly unPC, but when I saw at school people used to say "Don't have an eppie", meaning 'epileptic fit', if someone was stressing out. It's terrible, but I would always associate that nickname with that.

If I had a little girl named Penelope, I'd probably call her Lo for a nickname, however I do really adore the name and would most likely pronounce it completely.
