cat name

i rescued a sick little kitten on the fourth of july, and i can't decide on a name for him. what do you guys think he looks like? he's a gray tabby/white male cat. he has a little round patch of tabby on his white tummy. other than that his markings are pretty basic.

we have quite a few cats, i'll list a few of their names: darlene (f), marla (f), puck (m), todd (m), eddie poe (m), mustard (m), bill (m).

ideas i have so far: bruno, and...that's it. definitely not set on that name right now.

(two kinda big pictures included. his eyes are goopy in one of them, because he is sick.)

ohh, that's kinda cute, thanks for the suggestion! :) i'll add that to the list of possibilities. we do have two other cats that have names starting with F (frodo and further...we have a lot of cats), i'm not sure if it would be too confusing...i'll have to think about that.

gizmo was the creature's name in "gremlins", but the creature that Gizmo *was*, was called a Mogwai. :D

thanks, i hope so too. he's doing much better than he was 24 hours ago, but he still has a long way to go.
chance would be very fitting for the situation, since he got a second chance at life. :)

I would name him Pip or Oliver, some kind of suffering Dickensian orphan name, to pay homage to his sad and humble beginnings. The poor guy.

since you found him on the 4th of July maybe a name related to "The Star-Spangled Banner", Francis Scott Key, fireworks, or the flag, or the original poem titled "Defence of Fort McHenry", or maybe Anthem

unfortunately, my dad has a dog named lucky, so it's taken...but there might be some good names that have lucky as a meaning, don't you think? i'll have to google that.

i'm adding finn, oliver, and pip to the list. my favorite of those is probably pip, but we already have so many LOTR names...and my mom and i aren't even really that into LOTR...tolkien just used great names haha.

I am reading a book with a cat named Arsenal, after the owner's favorite soccer team. They call his Arsie or Arse for short. It made an impression on me! :)

the last pet i rescued(albeit a dog) i named zeus/zues(which ever way you want to spell it) because to me it sounded like a very strong name. and since he had been abused before we got him, it seemed to fit that although of his horrid past, he was one of the strongest spirits i had ever come across in an animal. hope that helps! and he is a doll baby!
