I was just wondering what yall thought of the name Foster? Girl/Boy?

We have a girl lab here at my work with that name and I love it.

Ive only ever known one person named Foster and it was a boy so i think boy.
Its not really my kinda name though so i dont like it that much. But on a dog i dont think id mind it.

I'd immediately think of the beer.

I do like it for a DOG. If it were a person I would assume it was a boy.

Also, icon-love. I adore DC.

That's the name of my friend's dog, which is named after Foster's Lager.

So, a definite no.

It's an actor I like's last name.
And if it were to be a first name, I'd say boy.

i immediately think of it as a guys' name, albeit a very archaic, unique but not in a creative way one; therefore NOT good for a female. for a non human child, maybe

i think of chickens, then the actress. it's always struck me as more of a last name than anything.
