What are some first names for the nickname Jo or Joey for a girl?  I think that nickname is really cute on a girl.  I can't use Josephine because we had a social worker named that and my mom hated her.  I kinda like Josefina, but I went to high school with a Josefina, so I don't know.  Got any ideas?

Joelle and Jobeth are two names I can think of. I did know one girl growing up named Joellen too. I know that the website babynames.com has an advanced search option under the "Names & Meanings" header where you can search for girls names that begin or end with "Jo." Then you can see if you like any of those. =)

Joanna
Johanna
Joanne
Jodie

... those are the only ones I can think of.

You could also just name her Joey, if you give her a feminine-sounding middle name. My friend's niece is named Joey Alexis, which I think is adorable.

My cousin is Joanna, and everyone calls her Nan, which I don't like, but I call her Joey. I like Jozefina much better!

I think I'd like Joelle or Joella best.

My nn is Jo though, because my initials are J.O.

My name is Jolanda (J is pronounced like a Y tho, but its the Dutch way of spelling it and I was born there) and I used to get called Jo and Joey quite a lot.

Though, now I go by Jolie.

Josefa. Pronounced just like Joseph, but with an "ah" on the end. I heard the name on a television mini-series once (I don't remember which) and it stuck in my head ever since then. I think it's lovely. :)
