I like playing around with different names, tell me what you guys think/opinions! ALSO, Happy 4th of July!
some of these are weird ones, which i was considering for book character names! :-)

Girls Names

Tennyson Porphyry (porphyry means purple stone, tennyson is a famous writer)
Sophie Oenone
Aberdeen Sunshine
Alice Scarlet
Alice Sunshine
Allora Millay
Delilah Locke
Lennon Scarlet
*Rose Petal- possible book character in fairy tale story
*Rebel Alien- another story
Lailah Gogh (pronounced Go like in Van Gogh :-)
Aaralyn Snow
Lennon Millay
Pope Lennon (idea for a girl in a story)
Ramona Rebel
Firuza Mazarine (one means turquoise and the other's a shade of blue)
-----------------
Also, I was trying to come up with a Q name for a girl since there aren't many and thought of
Quindalyn
or Quindlen
Quinn or Q would be the nickname. :-)
---------------------
What do you think?

Also, my fiance and I decided if we ever have a little boy we will name him
Michael Alistair C... (last name)
initials will be MAC which I think is cool. Also, we'd call him Macalaster or Mac for a nickname, instead of mike, since both our dads are mike. I hope I actually get to use this name one day and don't change my mind! lol

Hah, when I was little (well, 10) I used to look up veeery uncommon names to use in stories, and one of them was Firoza! Pretty similar to Firuza =)
Quindalyn sounds fun...the first Q name that popped into my mind was Quirine...I believe it's French and it's pronounced Kee-reen =)

I like Tennyson but Porphyry reminds me too much of the disease Porphyria.

Tennyson seems VERY masculine to me.

Oenone is a little to close to onan(ism).

Is Allora a name? It's just means "so," or "then" in Italian. I don't really like it as a name.

Aberdeen Sunshine is really cute, though.

Porphyry is also a very hard igneous rock consisting of large-grained crystals, dispersed in a fine-grained groundmass.
It only refers to a purple-red stone valued for its appearance in non-geologic terms, and the geology geek in me couldn't get past that meaning!
However I do like Lennon Scarlet and Aaralyn Snow!
