Is there any name that you really dislike...although you are not quite sure why?
You may actually even think its a pretty name and do not really know why you dislike it so much?

For instance, I can not stand the name Juliana. I have no idea why, because I can say that it is a rather pretty name. I do not know anyone with the name that would make me hate it either. Yet for some reason...I really dislike the name.

I hate Brody and Lucas. They just sound gross to me. And I dislike names that end in "lyn"

I think the name Marissa is really pretty, but I hate it. I think it may be because of the O.C., but I'm not even sure of that. I hate the kre8tif spellings of names (Maddeliyn, Madisynne, etc.). I also dislike Jessica, Samantha and Nicole. Boys' names don't bother me as easily as girls' names.

I hate Amanda, Shannon, and Ashley. They sound like hooker names. Sorry! ahaha.
I also don't care for David, Samuel and Shane.

I hate the name Madison... very much. For boys names I hate Emmit(Emmet? I dunno how it's spelled..) I just hate it so much, I hate how it sounds, I hate saying it. I also hate Parker, Payton, Aiden/Jayden/Brayden/Hayden, Holden... I just think they sound terrible.

One name I really dislike is Yvette. I just think it's hideous. As for the rest...let me think...Tatjana or any variants of that name. It's tacky. Oh, and Svetlana. Don't like that one either.

Most things that end in "...ton," "...den," "...lyn," or "...ley/leigh/etc." (even though my own name ends in "...leigh," but exceptions are allowed, I suppose.) generally.
Also, "K" names.
Specific names: Louise and Ophelia.
I'm sure there's more though.

I don't like names that seem to vowel-heavy, so Linnea, Arianna, and Alia/various spellings have always been among my least favorites.

I also don't like the nickname Mandy for some reason. I know several Amandas who don't use it. Also Becky.

My name is Amanda and I also hate the nickname Mandy. My family still calls me Mandy, though. I doubt it'll ever change, but I guess I can live with it.

I dislike names that look like they should be pronounced differently from how they're spelled. Alanna pronounced "ee-lay-nah" for example. Give a kid a name like that and they'll be correcting people their entire lives. :|

I also dislike names that are spelled differently in order to look unique; someone else already pointed this out and gave examples, heh.

Nicole, Michelle, Aiden, Jayden (and all variants), Brittany, Bethany. Nothing wrong with them per se, I just don't like the way they sound.

I hate names that have mutated out of another name, and those ambiguous names that have lots of really similar variants... Jordan, Jayden, Jaylen, Kaylen, Kaylee, Alana, Alina, Alia...

I hate the name Michael. Just HATE it. Not even sure why, but I physically cringe when I hear the name. It is just so....awful sounding! Oh, and obviously, not a fan of Michele, but that is not as bad as Michael.

I also really really dislike Brittney and Christian.

I'm a bit wary of a name-war at the moment!!! And if i knew a person I liked by these names I am sure I could be swayed...apologies if this is your name!

I hate the name Melinda. No idea why. Just do.
And i really do not like..
Natasha
Jessica
Amanda
Rachel
Rebecca/Rebbecca? No idea how it's spelt.
Daniele

I think i can figure out though, why those names are ones i don't like. Common for my age group. I can think of at least three people for each of those names that i have known in my year at school/netball. Garh.

Not sure for boys, though I have never liked the name David.

I don't like names spelled with different vowels. Er, Okay that didn't really make sense but what I mean is..er..for example, Madison and Madisen look like two different names and sound different. I honestly don't understand why some people think vowels are interchangeable.

In the same vein, I hate names with vowels replaced with Ys! Obviously, there are some exceptions to this (Kym vs Kim, for example) but Trynity? Charlytte? Helyn? Eeew!

For some reason I really don't like "R" names - Rachel, Rebecca, Rochelle, Richard, Roland....

Maybe they sound too harsh to me. I also dislike names that are spelled with more letters than needed - Ashleigh, Meyghan, etc. (I know people with these two names).

i would never use names that have a "lee" or a "lyn" stuck to the end.
i hate the names chastity, delores, agnes, mildred, and luther.
i don't like the name "christian" either, it seems silly to me.
it's like name a child "muslim" or "jew," all i can think about is the religion.

Anything ending in -lyn. Also Robert and Richard, although some nicknames are fine and even nice.
