I have a quick poll for you guys. I really like the name Natalie....but am consitering somewhat varients of it.

so here is the questions

Natalie (Nat-a-lee)
Natalia (Na-tal-ya)
Natasha (na-tash-ah)

which one is the best?

the pronunciations are just a clue of how I say these names with my New York accent.


Also...I'm thinking Natalie Jean. (Jean is a family name but I'm not 100% sure about it with Natalie. Any suggestions?

you pronounce Natalia + Natasha quite differently to me considering where I'm from we hold our 'a' sounds longer :)

Natalia = Nah-tahlia
Natasha = Nah-taash-ah

I've known a girl called Natasha with it spelt Natassja. And I know a girl called Natalie with it spelt Nathalie

I like Natalia the best :)

well, perhaps I won't help you much, but my name is Natalia :) as I'm from Russia and we have this variant as a "grown-up" name. Little girls are usually called Natasha. I can just describe my experience when being called all three variants of yours:
Natalia - sounds finished and a bit serious. but it's very consistent nad gives support somehow
Natasha - is very soft and calm. it's cosy and sweet.
Natalie is a bit French and rather feminine. and very elegant...
i'd prefer the last :)

Natasha is one of my favorites, but I pronounce it Nuh-tah-shuh. Considering our difference of pronunciation, my preference from your list would be for Natalia.
