Hi, my name is Alice and I'm new to LJ and I stumbled across this community. I've got 2 kids. In their day care there are some interesting names.

Girls:
Andrea- A bit bland, but it's okay.
Brittlyn- Horrible in my opinion. It's like the parents couldn't decide between Brittany and Caitlin.
Callie- My daughter, so of course I love the name. lol
Daisienne- Pronounced like Daisy Ann. It's different, but I don't hate it.
Eowyn- Pronounced A-owe-in. Being the Lord of the Rings fangirl that I am, I love this name.
Kamzie- Ick. Just ick.
Lamara- Named after her dad, Lamar. I don't like this name at all.
Liliana- Cute, but a bit trendy.
Petra- I love this name.
Tabby- Not short for anything. Reminds me of a cat.
Zoe- It's alright, but not one of my favorites.

Boys:
Aidan- Too trendy, but I don't mind it.
Cuttler- I actually like this name a lot.
Elliott- I love this name.
Galen- This is my son, so I obviously like his name. lol
Holland- I don't like this name at all.
Kimball- Not a name to me.
Rebel- Kind of growing on me. Maybe it's because he's Callie's little boyfriend. lol
Sean- Almost named Galen this. I love it.
Shayden- Made up name. Don't like it.
Upton- Not a big fan, but it's not horrible.

Epic-Length Comment!

I don't like Andrea, it sounds too harsh for me. Brittlyn is a combo and to me it sounds "stuck up"--can't really elaborate on that feeling. :b

Callie is a cute name, but I look at is more as a "nickname" for some reason. Still cute, though! Daisienne is not something I've seen or heard before, it's pretty. Very feminine. Eowyn is a very pretty name, also.

Liliana is cute, but it's a bit too "sweet" sounding. :) I don't care for Petra (too close to Peter for me), Tabby doesn't sit right with me being her full name, and Zoe reminds me too much of 'toe'. Even if it's pronounced "Zo-E".

I'm fond of Lamara, though it depends on the way you pronounce it. Lamar-uh, or Lam-ara? Kamzie is cute as a nickname.

Cuttler drives me nuts (cutlery), Kimball is too... odd-ball, Rebel is cute-cute-cute, but it would take a lot for me to name my child that--again, cute as a nickname.

I've always liked Aidan, Elliott is a very handsome name, Galen is nice and interesting (how do you pronounce it?), Holland reminds me of Holly.

Shayden seems like one of those combo names (Shad with Hayden?), and ...Upton. Upton. I don't get it. I don't like it much, either.

I have no big argument with the name Sean, it's just not a name I would use, personally. :)

Lamara is also a common Georgian (as in the Eurasian country) name. There it's pronounced LA-ma-ra instead of La-MA-ra. I try to like the name, but...the Lamar of it all stands out too much.

I love your son's name! Your daughter's name is cute, too, but it's probably not something I'd use. But I LOVE the name Galen. I've only ever met one person named that.

I really like Elliott, although I prefer it spelled with only one t, and I really like Sean, Andrea, and Zoe, too. The other girl names are RIDICULOUS, though. Liliana isn't bad, but the rest seem either horribly trendy or 100% made up. The boy's names aren't terrible, but I really dislike Kimball, Holland, Cuttler, and Shayden. Aidan is horribly trendy, but I do really like it.

I remember when I was going through my LOTR phase, I was so intent on naming one of my daughters Eowyn. It's a pretty name. =)

I also love the name Sean. It's just so timeless and great sounding.

Brittlyn - Isn't that a brand of water filter or something?
Kamzie - Reminds me too much of Kamikaze.
Lamara - Maybe they shouldn't name girls after guys.

Cuttler - I feel like I should dislike this name, but I don't.
Holland - This name doesn't exactly exude manliness. Does he wear sweater vests?
Rebel - Haha, yes.

That's what I was thinking too.

Andrea- Ugly, boring.
Brittlyn- Someone Loved Briney & Jamie Lynn Spears too much. Urgh, what a smushed americanised name.
Callie- More of a nickname IMO, nothing particuarly special about it.
Daisienne- Messy, made up. Just go with Daisy.
Eowyn- Irish? Pretty sound but is it legit?
Kamzie- Another icky made up trendy name.
Lamara- I like Lara, but no not lamara.
Liliana- Cute, but a bit trendy.
Petra- Okay.. not my style though.
Tabby- Don't like. Bit tacky.
Zoe- Normal name, I don't care for it though.

Boys:
Aidan- Too trendy, I don't like it.
Cuttler- Reminds me of the words 'cut' and 'Hitler' so no good.
Elliott- I love this name, but spelt Eliott or Eliott. The LLTT looks overdone.
Galen- Don't know how to pronounce.. Gay-len.. Gallon? Another trnedy -en name made up.
Holland- It's okay.. as far as place names go.
Kimball- Not a name to me.
Rebel- Oh dear, give your kid a chance..
Sean- Hate this name.
Shayden- another -en name, ugly.
Upton- Urgh..

Kimball???? OMG I can't stop laughing..
I hope he's African or something

Rebel is fantastic, but really takes Kim-balls to name a child that hahaha

I like the name Callie, is it short for something in your case?
I'd have used it for Calia. (Callie or Kelly)

I know a girl called Samara...I don't like that either, but at least she can go by Sam 8) =P
I don't like most of the names. Especially not Cuttler, Kamzie & Taddy...ugh. But I don't like Petra either (sooo common here) and I don't like the name Holland...it's where I'm living, so it's strange seeing it as a name!

Callie is my kitty's name, and I love her to death, so of course, I love that name! The rest of the girls name...eh.

As for the boys, I really only like Elliott. I had a bad experience with a Galen, so I'm not fond of it, and same with Rebel [only the Rebel I knew was a girl and a HORRIBLE roommate].
