Alright, so I've been here before, but it's coming down to the wire now and I need help.
On November 11th (give or take a few days) we'll either be welcoming a little Liliana or a little Jonah into the world. Of that, I'm sure. : ) The middle names, however, continue to elude me.

My only guidelines are that I don't want the name to be one syllable, since our last name is one syllable (Brown), and that for Liliana's middle name, I'd like the emphasis to be on the first syllable (i.e. Avery, Morgan, Peyton). Also I'm staying away from nouns as a middle name for Liliana because it sounds too much like "Lily on a _________". And that's just dumb awkward. : )

Middle names I've considered for Jonah include Elias (Ee-ly-us) and Landon. Please throw more suggestions my way.



Also a question: Do you think first and middle names with the same first letter are too much?

I like Elias as a middle name for Jonah.

For Liliana, I think that a lot of the above names are pretty. You could also use Megan, Ellen, Dana, Rachel.

Most names, come to think of it, have a first syllable emphasis. I'm always looking for second syllable emphasis!!

you can have the first letter of the middle name go with the first letter of the first name; they can both start with the same sound, as long as they don't end with the same sound.

Oh no, I'm not keeping the name under wraps. I just didn't mention it since we were talking about names for you. We are thinking of the name Kya. Kya Mackenzie or Kya Grace. My husband loves the name, I'm trying to. Personally I'd like to name a little girl Avery, but hubby won't cooperate.

I really think you could be my soulmate my dear. The reason I asked about first letters of first and middle names being the same is because I kind of already know what I'm going to name the wee one. My mom helped me choose. Liliana Lucy or Jonah Julian. And the reason? The Beatles. She has loved them since she was a girl and she raised me to love them too. We actually almost got hit by a train when I was 6 and we were on a car trip singing Love Me Do with the radio full blast. : )

I think Liliana Lennon is a great name too. And I think it's funny that so many people have suggested Liliana Rochelle--Rochelle is my first name.

I think Liliana Lucy is ADORABLE- I love the name Lucy, it just is the sweetest name for a little girl. Have you seen I am Sam? If not, I highly recommend it to see how adorable Lucy can be. Jonah Julian is awesome as well- I see nothing wrong with first and middle names having the same letters, as long as they sound good together and these two certainly do.

I actually was going to say Liliana Michelle, because it seems like Liliana sounds good with a two syllable middle name ending in -elle, but since it's my name I didn't suggest it. ;)
