What do guys think of the name Jayelle?
It occured to me while pronouncing the initials JL.
I think it sounds nice, but how would you spell it? Maybe Jeyelle?

Also yesterday I met a woman named Julie, who has a baby girl named Lea(h?). Do you think they're too close to be in the same family?

The girl off of the latest season of America's Next Top Model spelled her name Jael.

I think it would have to be spelled Jayelle. If you take off any letters (Like, Jaelle or Jayel) I want to pronounce it like jail. I also really don't like Jeyelle. I think I would have a hard time pronouncing that name because I would want to pronounce it Jeh-Elle.

I don't think that Julie and Lea(h) are too similar to be related, assuming Lea(h) is pronounced Lee-uh. Julie has enough to it that isn't a Lee sound that I think they sound totally different.

Julie and Leah are definitely not too similar.

Jayelle would probably have to be spelled that way to avoid the unfortunate mispronunciation of Jail, but I'm not a fan of it. It seems very trendy-sounding in the Jayden/Brayden/Maddyson kind of way, and I hate having random y's in the middle of names.

I quite like it spelled Jael. I think the other ways look kinda tacky.

I had a friend named Jayare (JR). Not a fan.

My boyfriend has a friend JL, so it seems like more of a guy's name to me. Oh, and I hate the kid...

And, no. I mean, if her name was Julia it would be different.

i had never heard this name before, & when we were unsure of what my son was yet (he is 2 1/2 now), i came up with the middle name Jaielle. it was a combination of James (my grandfather) & Danielle (my bff/cousin/best person i've ever met)... i still had never heard it until this season of ANTM, Jael. i didn't like her, so now i'm pretty unsure of the name.

Jeyelle still sounds like JAIL to me!

And actually, I can't think of how Julie and Leah are similar at all. Do you mean that they both have classical roots? Because I don't think they sound alike...

Oh! I get it!! I guess if you put it that way, Julie and Leah do sound alike! Funny, I would just never think of them as the same kind of name. But that is kind of a good point...
