For a boy, how about the name Luca Maddox Genova?
Or Luca Colson Genova?

Im not sure about the name Luca, but it seems like the only name that me and my boyfriend kind of agree on. I like it, but i like other names better. So far though, i think thats what we've settled on.

Colson means "Son of Nicholaus" which i really like (Nicholaus is the fathers name), but I also like Maddox just because its a nice name.

What do you think?

I really like Colson because of the meaning, but I don't think it sounds that good because of the double 'C' sound. If you really like Colson based on the meaning, maybe change that to the baby's first name?

I don't usually care for cross-gender or unisex names, but I really prefer Luka as a girls name. (I don't really understand why it's not actually Eric/Erica, Carl/Carla, Michael/Michaela, Paul/Paula... why doesn't that work with Luke/Luka??) Plus I'm a Suzanne Vega fan, and her song Luka is about a female.

Maddox I've never cared for, sorry. Mad Ox. Absolutely nothing in that makes me think of a kind, gentle little boy -- it makes me think of a holy terror! LOL! Plus the Angelina Jolie thing... kind of wary of celebrity names in general, and her I don't care for much on top of it.

I think your idea with Colson is nice. That a great use of meaning.

So yeah, overall it's not for me, but I don't think it's a bad choice either. Good luck to you.

I'm no help at all, am I? :) I prefer the spelling Luka, since the only "Luca"s I've encountered have been female, but either way, it's a lovely name! Congratulations.

I saw that DoveTail66 named her son Luca and I didn't really like it at first, but I'm starting to like it. :) And, I don't really like Maddox, but the combination goes good.

I like them both. But I got to tell you what I think of when I read both names.... Luca I think of Luca on the show ER. Maddox I think of Angelina Jolie's little boy and also Greg Maddox from the Chicago Cubs. And Colson I think of Daniel and Riley Colson on OLTL. But other than that I love both names.

me and my boyfriend had the hardest time agreeing on a name every name i gave him he hated i lovvveed jackson he hated it so finally i heard the name maxwel and when i found out i was having a boy i started calling him max in my belly and it stuck we both agreed and im sooooo happy we named him that...so if u both agree on luca go for it i like that name its very cute

i LOOOOVE the name Luka. I used to nanny for a little boy named Luka, and his name was Luka Alexander, and it was the first time I'd ever heard that name. It's too cute.
