I have a friend whose son is named Cesar, and I like it. They're Puerto Rican and apparently the no-a spelling is somewhat common in Spanish-speaking countries.

I don't like it. I first think of the historical connections and then salad then pizza, and I just think it's an odd name really.

Well the only bad connotation I have is caesarian sections!
Julius Caesar and Caesar salad are fairly neutral associations to me.

I know someone with that name who is italian, not usre if it's cesar or caesar.

Hate the misspelling, think the Roman emperor associations are a bit awesome, actually.
