What do you think?
Jun. 20th, 2007 11:51 pmHow would you pronounce Breigha if you saw it?
What do you all think of the name Ambrie?
And what about Eden?
Any good middle names to go with Eden or Ambrie?

Date: 2007-06-21 05:58 am (UTC)2. I dislike names that sound like two more traditional names combined - Janessa, Jennica, etc. Ambrie falls into this catagory for me Amy+Brie(anna) It is pretty, just not my style. Hmm - I do like Ambria though - sounds more complete to me.
3. I like Eden. Here are some middle names:
Eden Claire
Eden Elizabeth
Eden Jane
Eden Eleanor
Eden Adele
Eden Ambria?

3. I don't like it, but every Eden I know is fantastic, so I have good connotations for it.
4. I like Eden Michaela.

Date: 2007-06-21 08:23 am (UTC)But I'm sure it violates some phonetic rule there :P
Ambrie is not bad, maybe a nickname for Amber
Eden is quite cute and exotic
Eden is quite a hard name to pair with another name because so many associations stem from it. I can't think of names who make a decent combination, because I'm like "Eden Claudia, or Eden Elizabeth" just have nothing in common to belong together.
I like Ambrie Virginia.

Date: 2007-06-21 09:00 am (UTC)& I don't like Ambrie all that much, which is strange, 'cause I do like Aubrey.

Date: 2007-06-21 11:34 am (UTC)But I would assume it was meant to be bree-uh or bray-uh
I like the spelling Bria much better. having a "gh" in a name is something I really don't like. It just looks ugly to me. I suppose it might remind me of words like "cough" or "ugh". I don't even like it in Leigh even though that is the most legitimate female spelling of that name.
Ambrie, I don't really have any opinion of, I've never heard it before so I'd think it was made up but it's not as bad as some other names that sound made up.
I'm also quite neutral to Eden.

Date: 2007-06-21 10:40 pm (UTC)I don't think many other people mind gh in names anyway it's probably just me :)

Date: 2007-06-21 12:10 pm (UTC)I dislike both Ambrie and Eden.
My opinions can only be expressed as vague noises.
Date: 2007-06-21 12:43 pm (UTC)I wouldn't pronounce it. I would probably retch on the spot.
Ambrie - Neh
Eden - Weh

Date: 2007-06-21 02:42 pm (UTC)"Br.... wait, how do you say that?"
> What do you all think of the name Ambrie?
Doesn't feel complete. It's like a glueing-together of names that were popular in the 1990s (Amber + Brianne). Also reminds me of embryo.
> And what about Eden?
Better. The spelling is clear from the pronunciation (and vice-versa) so she won't have to spend her life explaining it.
Given the names you like, I wonder if you would like Cambria, called Bria or Bree for short?

Date: 2007-06-24 12:11 pm (UTC)Ambrie... I'm with the above. Sounds a bit contrived and awkward.
Eden is nice. Eden Yvonne? Eden Isolde? Eden Ophelia?
