I was wondering what everyone thought of the name Chase for a girl? I really like unisex names, but my boyfriend says Chase sounds too much like a guy name to him. I also like Aidan for a girl.
Both of those are definitely male names, but that never stopped the parents of the Madisons, Lauren/Lorins, Taylors of the world. ;) Aidan is a pretty name. I don't usually like names meant for the opposite sex, but that one is cute.
I think Chase could do as a girls name. There is a designer on TLC and her name is chase. But Aiden is definetly a boys name to me.. but dont let that stop you if you like it.
Chase is really pretty for a girl. i've heard of people who named their girl Chandler, which i've only ever heard of as a boys name. And i know of someone who named their daughter Owen.
yeah, Chase sounds a bit guy-ish for a girl's name (though it could be good for a middle name?). I think Aiden (or Aidyn?) is cute for a girl. i've never come across it as a unisex name though, but i think it could work.
A friend from high school named her daughter Hunter- I don't like it. It was my friends maiden name so that's the name she gave her daughter- but still, I don't like it!
but aidan... i never knew it was a boy's name until these past few years as it's become popular. i went to school and graduated with a girl named aeden. so, to me, it can be pretty feminine. i even like how her parents spelled it... even if it's not quite my style.
I'm not too big on Chase and Aidan for baby names either. But if I could change my name I think I'd change it to Chase, I think it suits me. I think Aidan got popular because of The Ring. Ever since that movie came out I've seen tons of babies with the name Aidan.
Aidan on a girl= no no. It seems too masculine to me, and I know so many male Aidans I can't picture it on a girl at all. Chase on a girl= Definitely! I think it's really cute on a little girl. So spunky and tomboyish. :)
Well, back in colonial time, girl names now, were used as boy names, and i think chase is fine for a girl.
Here are a few unisex names that i know of:
Kelly [I know a boy by this name] Quinn [go figure] Taryn [One of the kids on Home Improvement had this first name] Madison [amazing, but yes, it was originally a man's name] Morgan [I knew by a boy by this name] Brett [Grace Under Fire was a TV show, it was cancelled but the main character was played by Brett Butler] Corey [I knew a girl by this name, and grew up with a boy by this name] Ashley [yes, Ashley] Lauren
[If you watch Dr. Quinn, medicine woman, you would have realized the amount of names that are considered to be feminine used as a boy name]
I always find myself drawn to unisex names. I named my daughter Rylee (Riley). I think Chase for a girl is kind of cute. I had to say it a couple of times before I could picture it for a girl, but I like it.
