'strange' names for children

This is kind of random.

I work with children and the strangest names for children I have some across are:

Slade Danger

and

Journey

& they happen to be bother and sister.

They were thinking of calling the girl Dangeress but decided against it.

I've come across a handfuls of Danger's in the last couple of days, and I'm like "yeah, what's up with that??" I'm assuming it's read Dang-er, but still, it's the same word as "danger". Ridiculous, to me.

It used to be a line from James Bond movies or something to say "danger is my middle name", and I wished it stayed that way.

Journey isn't that bad, IMO. I know someone called Jerney. It's kind of the same.

I'm probably totally alone in this, but I think the middle name Danger, is totally bad ass! Seriously, I mean you've got to have balls to have that name. Plus, it's not like most people know other people's middle names.

I've heard the name Slade before and i love it! I've never heard of Journey before I kind of like it but i'd never use it since it is a little too out there.

One of my unwritten rules of thumb is that a child should never be named after a shitty rock band.

Or, in fact, any band I can think of.

I had never heard of Slade until a recent customer of mine had the name. It worked well for her.

I can imagine little Slade's future pickup line. "Danger's my middle name...no, legally."

I know a little boy named Slade and honestly I can't stand it. All I can think of is Slate. And I Know for a fact that in school the kids tease him all the time and call him rock and brick and other names like that.

Slade sounds so slimy. I knew brothers named Rhythm and Journey and I really couldn't decide who got the worse deal. It is no suprise their dad was a drummer...
