What do you think of the name Susanna?

It's a huge family name in my family, but everyone always says, "Oh don't you cry for me!" when I ask them "What do you think of the name Susanna?"

If you had a friend named Susanna would you automatically want to call her Susie?

I love Susanna, and I also love Susie. I wouldn't automatically think of Susie though. I might want to call her Anna or Sus if I'm being quick, though.

I like the name Susanna. However, I wouldn't call her Susie. I'd call her Anna.

I do actually think of the song. Although it is a pretty name.

I had a friend named Susanna in high school and it was an unspoken rule that the song was never to be brought up in her presence.

She went by Suzi, but I always liked Susanna on its own much better.

I went to school with a Susanna, and I always liked her name. Nobody called her Susie, I'm guessing because she kept it at a minimum when she was very young, so it never had a chance to stick. The song didn't really enter my mind when interacting with her, although it might if I didn't have a person to relate the name to... if that makes any sense! The person-Susanna relationship just overpowered the song reference.

I know a Susanna. I've never thought of the song regarding her until now, actually. I call her Suzie, but that's because that's how she was introduced to me.

It doesn't immediately make me think of the song. It makes me think of a character from one of my favorite books, though, so maybe that's just thrown it off.

As the above posters say, I would only call her Susie if that's what she told me her name was. But then, I think it's rude to assume it's okay to call someone a nickname.

My 17 year old sister is Suzanne. She goes by Suzanne. Call her any form of Suzy/Susie and she'll hurt you. Haha.
