Jun. 11th, 2007 09:16 amOne of the things I read in this community is that, while someone likes the name, it's too trendy or common. My question is, if you were forced to choose, would you rather have a common name (i.e. Jennifer or Christopher) or a trendy name (like Madison or Aidan)?

Date: 2007-06-11 05:34 pm (UTC)Seriously though I prefer common, in the 'timeless classic' sense. Those tend to have more meaning and history to them; which is important to me. Also if I had one then I'd go by an uncommon short form/variant anyway.
Some of the names on my list do fit current trends (e.g 'old lady', surnames etc), but are still relativly uncommon names. Which I like because it's good balance of being distinct but not totally random.

Logan Oliver, same deal.
