i do date entry, and i come across some odd names. my favourites from today:

- Joost
- Wiggert

both are first names; both are from The Netherlands.

Wiggert...unfortunately, in the US, it sounds too much like Whigger, which is not a nice thing to call someone. :(

I think if I saw those names I would have automatically assumed they were from the netherlands, so I don't really have much of an opinion. Not sure how they'd even be pronounced.

Hah, I'm from the Netherlands and I never heard of 'Wiggert' =P I know about 5 people called Joost though. It's an ok name, IMO. I don't like it all that much though =). Joost is supposed to be pronounced 'Yow-st' (Yow as in low).

im from the netherlands & ive never heared of Wiggert. It looks veryvery oldfashioned to me.

Joost is pretty random here :)
